Cookie policy
This policy explains how the website https://xie.com.co, owned by XIE S.A., Tax ID (NIT) 830061684-1, uses cookies and similar storage technologies in your browser. In short: the site uses first-party technical storage to function and to remember your preferences; it stores in your browser its own record of how you arrived at the site, which is sent to XIE S.A. only if you submit the contact form; and it uses third-party analytics cookies only if you accept them in the cookie notice. The site does not currently use advertising cookies.
How you decide which cookies are used
The first time you visit the site, a cookie notice appears in which you can accept all categories, reject those that are not necessary, or choose by category. Analytics and advertising cookies are activated only if you accept them; until you do, they are not loaded. This allows XIE S.A. to know how the people who write to it arrive at the site. session_tracking_data · Type: browser local storage (localStorage), first-party. · Content: a random visit identifier; the page through which you entered, the previous page, and the current page; the campaign parameters in links (such as UTM parameters and, if the link contains them, click identifiers from advertising platforms or search keywords); the referring site; the date of the first and the last visit and the number of visits; the language; the approximate country, region, and city; and the device type, the browser, the operating system, and the screen size. · Purpose: to understand the origin of contact requests and to prepare internal statistics. · Duration: 180 days from your first visit; after that, it is created again if you return. · How it is used: to calculate this data, your browser sends it to the site's server, which returns it without storing it. It reaches the XIE S.A. database only if you submit the contact form, together with your message and your personal data processing authorization. XIE S.A. does not share it with advertising platforms or use it to show you ads. This record is stored even if you do not accept analytics cookies; you can delete it at any time by clearing the site data in your browser.
Category 3. Analytics (third-party, only if you accept them)
If you accept this category, the site loads Google Tag Manager, the Google tool that activates measurement, and Google Analytics 4, which statistically measures how the site is used: pages visited, time spent, interactions, source of the visit, approximate location, and technical device data. Category 4. Advertising (not currently used)
The site does not currently use advertising cookies. If in the future XIE S.A. incorporates advertising tools or campaign measurement tools from advertising platforms (for example, social media or search engine pixels), they will be activated only if you accept this category in the cookie notice, and this policy will be updated before they are activated with the name of the provider, the purpose, and the duration of each cookie.
Cookies and personal data
When information obtained through cookies or similar technologies makes it possible to identify you, for example because it is sent along with the contact form, it is treated as personal data in accordance with Law 1581 of 2012 and the Personal Data Processing Policy of XIE S.A., where you will find your rights and how to exercise them. The providers of the tools described have their servers in the United States of America; details of that international transmission are provided in that same policy.
Changes to this policy
XIE S.A. will update this policy when the cookies or tools used by the site change, or when required by law. The current version is the one published on this page, with its update date. Effective date: pending approval.
